Oster has been synonymous with quality for many decades. This electric egg poacher is no exception. Very well made and at the same time is priced competively with many inferior units. This unit actually is both an egg poacher and an egg cooker. It can poach up to 4 eggs at a time or can cook up to 8 eggs (remove the non-stick steaming trays).

      Great for poached eggs.
Capacity for four poached eggs makes for easy quick breakfast for my family. Non-stick coating could be better but cleanup is still a breeze.

      Great Poacher
Had to experiment at first to get the water
level just right for my poached egg liking.
Also you are limited on egg size.

      Egg Cooker
Had one of these some years back as a wedding gift and loved it. Not too thrilled that it is now plastic instead of steal like the original I had but it works just as great…

      Sorry, not so good ….
We have had two of these units in the last three months, and each of them failed by not shutting off properly and melting/fusing the plastic dome to the base.

      Lid melts - not good
Used it for a year and today the lid melted on. Stink is horrible. Bad product reliability.

      It did an acceptable job
After 35 or so years our Oster cooker succumbed to the to the melted lid syndrome. I suspect that the thermostat got stuck in the “on” position.

Great for awhile and then POOF!
I loved this cooker. It was great until the last time I used it and it was just as some others said.

Cooks great eggs; unit poor quality
I had a love-hate relationship with my egg cooker. Loved the way it cooked eggs but it was very difficult to clean.
